Tapping is also known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). It is a powerful holistic healing technique that resolves a range of issues. It’s based on the combined principles of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.
The basic Tapping technique requires you to focus on a negative emotion at hand. This can be a fear, a worry, a bad memory, or any unresolved problem. You do this while maintaining your mental focus on this issue. Then you use your fingertips to tap 5-7 times on 9 specific meridian points of the body.
Children and adults alike can benefit from this easy to learn technique. We all deserve to feel calm and at ease in our body and it’s more important than ever that children learn how to self-regulate.
EFT/Tapping for Students
No one would deny that its been a tough couple of years and no one has been more affected than children. As a pediatric nurse I have witnessed the increase in anxiety, depression, eating disorders and suicidal ideation.
Tapping can help children deal with feelings that they otherwise have a hard time expressing. Feelings such as fear, anxiety, sadness, anger and low self esteem.

Tapping for Children
Our principles
You may have learned to prioritize others and to be caring and nurturing at the expense of yourself. It’s a challenge to speak up for yourself, ask for what you need or feel worthy of your desires.
My overall mission is to try and bring this tool to as many children as possible, and what better way to do so than through the classroom.

Grateful Mom
When I approached Donna to schedule an EFT session for my child, our family was in crisis. As life goes, when one person is unwell everyone else will feel it. My child came to Donna with high anxiety, chronic pain and unresolved trauma. Intake process was fairly straightforward, scheduling was a breeze. Donna’s approach was trauma informed, very gentle and non threatening. Overall our experience has been fantastic, my child is in a much better place. She has learned a new set of coping skills that she can utilize anywhere and has found her voice again. That in turn has had such a positive and healing effect on family as a whole and made medical woes bearable. I am eternally grateful to Donna.
